Kinja'd!!!

Not even sure if it works properly, but my wife discovered this airsoft, pump-action shotgun lying on the ground while raking. What the what?

As we do lawn care for the first since getting the house last year, we've found numerous interesting things. This airsoft gun, silverware, deodorant sticks, half filled water/pop bottles, glass Pepsi bottles filled with dead ants; and we're not even half done with the yard work yet!

Crossing my fingers in hoping to find a muscle car....covered in leaves, :D.

When I just saw the butt, I thought you found a 12ga. But airsoft guns are cool too.

I originally thought it was a BB gun, and got disappointed it wasn't, :).

That's cool. It's amazing what you find sometimes. I was at this place for over 6 months before I found 3 70's cars in some under growth. All squashed by a bulldozer according to someone that worked here many years ago.

I've found that too. There's also soft ball equipment, part of old house frame (it was replaced), and a soft ball bat...which is now used for home defense, :).

I've found other bodies, but not his. Still searching though.

I found a Nip of Wild Turkey stashed inside the garage, up on a beam above the garage door when I started working on the garage roof a few years after we moved in!

He was buried under home plate at Tigers Stadium. That is what a guy who knows one of my buddies friends said anyway. Rumor has it they moved him to Comerica on a moonless night while construction was going on.

I assume you just bought the place? My wife and I just got a house and we found this:

Kinja'd!!!

Found it hidden under a floor board in the attic, completely freaked me out. Fortunately our new neighbor is a cop and she had a drug test kit on her, test came back negative. No clue what it is but man that was a scare!

Yeah, we bought it last October. I'm not sure what the previous owners were doing, but there are nails sticking out if the walks, like everywhere. I had to remove most of them on the stairwell, as our clothes kept catching them.

wow, must be a fairly big piece of yard to be finding things so well hidden.

keep an eye out for 10 or so matchbox cars, I was playing with them in my yard in the late 1980s and it rained overnight and they sank into the mud. perhaps they made their way to your magical yard

It's not a big yard IMO, though the house is on a corner so I got a front, back, and side yard. It doesn't seem the previous owners really did much landscaping, as it was the owner's son staying there, who's younger than me I think.

Since this is out first house, we want to be thorough in cleaning it up, :).

Knowing a little bit about the people who lived in the house before us, those exact words may have been spoken!

Our house (which we bought last summer) was owned by a slightly crazy lady (according to our neighbor in the back). The house/property was definitely too much for her as she got older, AND she was an enthusiastic gardener, so the yard was very overgrown. We kept finding random statuary and such as we cleaned stuff out. And a clarinet in the closet.

I'm can sympathize. Two house owners ago, I'm guessing when they converted the garage to a living room, they decided to cut costs. So instead of moulding, there's a lot of 2x4's. They just put a giant piece of wood there around the door or window frame. It's an odd choice, but it is neat. It gives a very squarish feeling to the house.

And when the tree fell on the house a couple of years ago, during the repairs the previous owners didn't bother putting up moulding.

So some places there is no moulding, other places is actual real moulding, and other places have planks of wood.

Why would someone mount a light on that?

Kinja'd!!! zeontestpilot > wiffleballtony

so after the cock it, they can turn the light on so their opponent will look right at them, like a deer in headlights, as they pull the trigger.

Yeah, I get the application. I have one mounted on my AR15 but it feels like a bit overkill to blind your opponent in an airsoft match.
